Marital Epitomy

While I write this I am sitting on the couch out of work because I am sick. There is a weird stomach bug going around. I thought I had escaped it but I was wrong.

Sunday after church, my wife had gotten very sick and needed to go straight home. She stayed in bed for two days with exception of going to the bathroom about 100 times. I did my best to take care of her by going to Wal-Mart to get some stuff and simply being there for her if she needed me. I’m not very good at it though.

So when I got sick yesterday, I thought I was going to die. I think there was a little heat exhaustion involved. Temperatures around here have been in the 100’s for the past 2 weeks, (insane). I just about passed out and I got very dizzy and had to leave work early. I even had to have my boss drive me home.

After three bottles of Gatorade and a bottle of pedialyte, things seem to be looking up for me. My wife took very good care of me by calling my pastor who’s also an EMT so he came by to see how things were and to bring me these goods.

I’m very thankful to have people in my life that care about me. It’s funny because I am in the middle of writing a song called “Humiliate Me”. I believe God is doing so. My prayer through this is that I will learn something from this.

Humiliate me, humiliate me, humiliate me, O Lord

You can make me, You can make me, humiliated, O Lord!
