Fountain of Youth

I have found the fountain of youth. It’s not as appealing as everyone thinks. As a matter of fact, it can be quite discouraging. I believe it’s different for everyone. For me it’s rather simple; sporadic acne and the disability to grow facial hair.

It seems that often at work I’m asked if I’m old enough to have a full time job. One time, I was at this lady’s house and she asked me that very question. I asked her in return how old she was. She said she was 22. year’s old. I said, “Ma’am,  no offense but I’m 29.” To her astonishment, she apologized and said that I looked very young. I thanked her and went on my way.

This could be a good thing, but sometimes I don’t like it. I think the main reason I don’t like it is no one takes me seriously. They see me as a “young’un”. I’m not found to know what I’m talking about half the time. I’m just a snot nosed kid.

So is finding the fountain of youth worth it? Sometimes!
