Sounds interesting.

Growing up I remember our city's school had a Women's month. Where every class would focus on things women did in science, math, history and so on. I remember one day once it was over and we were covering a male scientist, I said it was cool that he was a guy. The teacher said it didn't matter if he was a man. I was confused and said that the day before the same teacher told a girl something like, "See the things women did, you should be proud you're a girl!" I said I was proud I was a guy because we did things too. The teacher said that was sexist and sent me to the principal's office. I was confused for a long time until I grew up and learned about double standards.

As a man raised by a single mother, I've always fought for equal rights. But things like that just keep pushing people down until they don't care about other sides. Little boys should be told to be proud too. My churches and groups have things like this God Men gathering too, because everyone is special to God. no matter than race, age, or gender.
