Learning to smoke a pipe!

My Paw-paw used to smoke a pipe when I was a kid. Every Christmas after dinner we’d all go down to the basement and get ready to open presents and Paw-paw would fire up his pipe and I just loved to smell it. I always said that when I got old I was gonna take up smoking a pipe if for any reason to make the house smell like it did when I was a kid.

Moving here to Clarksville I met a great friend and found out just a few weeks ago that he smokes a churchwarden pipe. So this weekend we’re going camping and I decided to pick a corn cob pipe for a couple of reasons. One is that it reminds me of where I’m from, the farm. Two is because it was cheap and there is no reason to start off with an expensive one if your not sure if your gonna like the new hobby or not.

So here is my new found hobby, as if I didn’t have enough. Something to aromafy the house with. Plus we’re talking about starting a smoker’s bible study in a smoke shop. What fun will that be? One day, I will finish my book writing and sit down with a pipe and reap the rewards of my book sales. And quite possibly the reward of my cd sales as well.
