God Is So God To Me

God is good (Psalm 38:4, Psalm 145:9, 1 Peter 2:3). It’s impossible for Him to be bad. Nowhere in scripture does it say that God is bad. But it does say God is good. Everything God does is good (Genesis 1). It can’t be bad because God can’t be bad. So God being good renders everything He is and does is good. Whether we like it or not, God defines good!

When we are pruned (John 15) it is a good thing. All things work for our good (Romans 8:29). He gives and He takes away and it is good (Job 1:21).

All the things He created, they were good. We were created to worship him (Colossians 1:16). So we sing. We shout. We clap. We bow. We jump. We dance. We sway. We worship Him for His love endures forever. Love is good because God is love (1 John 4:8). He is good.

No matter my circumstance, God is good rendering His goodness towards me although perceived as a bad thing by me is still good. No matter how I feel about God, my perception is distorted because I know in part (1 Cor.13:9) but soon I will know in full the goodness of His splendor. No matter what God does in my life God is being good and doing a good thing because He can’t do bad. He can only be God.
