I’m From The Country…

I love the country. It’s so relaxing. People are like family that come from the country. They know how to bond together. They know how to help each other out and be there for each other. They eat from each other’s crops and share cups of sugar and milk when needed. I love the country.
This weekend we took an opportunity to head back home to the country and let the family see Levi and relax for a moment. It was a much-needed relaxation but wished it would’ve been longer. One thing’s for sure is where ever there is a baby everybody wants to see it and hold it. Levi is famous for getting hugs and smiles no matter where he goes.
I love waking up every morning in the country and looking out and seeing the pasture and the barns and the cows grazing. I looked out this morning and saw the frost on the ground while I sipped on my coffee and dreamed of one day making it back. I like being busy and having stuff to do in the city but I love being in the country knowing that each day is determined by what you need to do and not what others need you to do.
I battle the scripture that tells us to leave our family for the sake of the gospel. But I know that when our work is finished God will reward us with a plot of land to relax in the country with fertile fields, livestock, and a small quaint town to raise our family. I love the country.
