The Golden Circle – How Great Leaders Inspire Action

Simon Sinek made an amazing talk on TED about how great leaders inspire action. He spoke on leading others by finding the “why” and not the “what” in what you do. He gave a great example by using the Wright brothers who had no financial backing, no experience, no education, and no idea on how to fly but they had passion in flying. On the other hand, a competitor in the aviation explosion was a fellow by the name of Samuel Peirpont Langley who had all the financial backing, education and know how but his desire was to be first to fly.

When the Wright Bros. succeeded, Langly folded because he didn’t have passion for the “why”. Watch this amazing video and be prepared to be wowed by such simplicity yet profoundness. If you’d rather read it, you can find that here.
