Faith

Hebrews 11:1 says that faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:6 says that without faith it is impossible to please God. If your vision seems “impossible,” if failure is absolutely certain unless God somehow gets involved, I would say that you’re probably on the right track. (Please remember that there’s a fine line between faith and stupidity, which is why it’s so essential to make sure you’ve heard from God and didn’t just eat some bad pizza!)
By faith means starting with the first few steps in view.
By faith means experiencing a journey and not just the end result.
By faith means having only a small glimpse of what the end looks like.
It’s impossible for us to be in God’s will with ourselves full of ourselves. If we think we can do something bold, it’s by our own power and might that we attempt to accomplish what only God can do through us. Only when we empty ourselves of ourselves will God begin to do mighty things. Only then will we see that it was God. If we attempt the bold without God, we will be tempted to say look what I have done (see King Nebuchadnezzar). If we are walking with God, he will always lead us to the place where we are desperate for him!
